Some PDAs may have a cable associateion instead of infrared and in such missions it is prudent to prove that it comes with the proper cable and software to associate to your processor before you make the goods. Also recall to ask the trader if these accessories are enterd in the bundle or if they rate more. Some PDA examples even have a re-mount built into a support that associates the PDA to your PC which allows you to re-expense the tool while you are reassignring facts to your PC. PDA to t

Elektrobit is launching a Windows Mobile Professional phone with touchscreen and all flavors of connectivity just in case you're stranded where there are no cell phone towers. However, if you are in reach of a cell phone tower, you're also in luck with quad-band GSM, tri-band HSPA technology for high speed data access, GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi in a lightweight reference design.

According to Gizmomag, this phone will launch on the TerreStar network, which provides satellite coverage and feature:

* The only fully IP-based satellite phone using high-speed packet data;
* The first satellite-terrestrial smartphone with a touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard;
* The first satellite-terrestrial smartphone based on Windows Mobile operating system, with competitive service offerings, including: SMS, MMS, IM, Email, Push to Talk and Location Based Services (LBS).

It is expected to launch in the first half of 2009, with measurements of 4.7 inch x 2.5 inch x 0.8/0.6 inch

This is pretty interesting. Some folks at XDA-Developers have managed to get a build of Google's Android operating system running on Windows Mobile.

Check out a video here.

We're not talking about replacing the ROM here, we're talking about opening Linux as if it was a Windows Mobile Application and then loading Android within that.

Since I'm pretty sure there's nothing that Android can do that Windows Mobile can't already do right now, it's probably not very useful. If anything, this is just more proof of how flexible and powerful Windows Mobile can be.

Get ready for Jawbone Version 2, which just hit the FCC for testing and approval. According to Engadget Mobile, the new model trims down a bit and is now a little smaller and sports a more reliable charging connector.

Jawbone is one of the better Bluetooth headsets out there, featuring noise cancellation and adjusting speaker and hearing volume depending on the environment noise. The current model of the Jawbone was previously reviewed on Pocketnow.com.

I personally prefer the old styling. The shiny diamond-cut metal on version 2 doesn't look as classy and understated as the original first generation.

What if you could remotely access your mobile phone from the web? You could view and edit your contacts, favorites, photos, videos, and even view and send SMS. Your phone would also be always backed up. Dashwire purports to allow for this functionality. Is this a new way of interacting with our mobile phones? Read on for the review!

Overall Rating:

The Good
  • Easily keep contacts, photos, and videos backed up

  • Integration with social networks, such as Facebook and Flickr

  • Quickly transfer information stored in Dashwire to a new phone

  • The Bad
  • E-mail and other files are not synced

  • Contact entries lacking first and last name show only an icon in the contacts list

  • Lacks integration with YouTube and other online video services

    I think most everyone has a love/hate relationship with business cards.  They represent a quick and easy way to trade contact information, to make a good impression and to show off your style and taste.  They also are small and easy to lose, a pain to organize and convert to electronic contacts, and take up a surprising amount of space. The obvious answer is a simple method of scanning and automatically recognizing the information in the cards, and a number of companies have made hardware/software solutions.  I recently had the opportunity to try out one solution, the CardScan 800c. Inside of the deceptively large box you’ll find a folder with the software, packaged cards for cleaning and calibrating the device, some advertising materials, a generously long USB cable, and the scanner.  The scanner itself is small enough to pack anywhere a paperback would fit or to fit on even the most cluttered desk.  It’s styled to look good on your desk; the CardScan has no buttons or switches to ruin the smooth lines, just a triangle-shaped blue light to show it’s on and to indicate where to insert cards. Read our full review of the Cardscan Executive 800c...

You know, the kind you write in - remember writing? I’ve been a fan of the Moleskine notebook for the past few years. And, as silly as it sounds, I’ve set a pretty high standard for myself when it comes to selecting a notepad. Fine - I’ve become a notebook snob, sue me. Back in 2005, I talked a bit about how ce

    In Part 1 of our video review, I go through the hardware specifications of the Scribbler.

    The aspect I like most about the Scribbler is its compact size and relative light weight. I think that this is one of the greatest appeals to the Scribbler. I found myself carrying it around with me everywhere because it was so easy to do so.

    I also liked the 12.1" XGA digitizer screen. It is very clear and bright. My only wish is that it had a touchscreen in addition to the digitizer. This would make navigation more convenient so that users are not dependent on the tablet pen.

    Stay tuned for our next video, when I will go through the included software.
