Mio is planning to release five new GPS-enabled products -- two GPS navigators, two PDAs and a smartphone -- just in time for Santa's physics-defying trip around the world.

On paper, the Mio DigiWalker P550 looks to be an attractive gadget for the mobile professional, combining the capabilities of a PDA and GPS into one device. However, its poor battery life and subpar navigation skills tell a different story.

If you ever wanted to multi-task to the point of insanity AND know where you are, the Mitac Mio A701 is your new favorite toy. Arriving in March according to this translated page, the Mio runs on Windows Mobile 5.0, has Bluetooth and USB and is yet another PDA that doubles as a phone but nifty addition of an internal antenna for GPS, based on the SiRFStarIII chip.
